Welcome Ballet Lovers!
D’Danze Academy
Founded in April 2003 under the leadership of Suzanne Liew, D’Danze Academy has grown into a vibrant dance community dedicated to nurturing talent and creativity. With a team of seven experienced and qualified dance instructors, the academy proudly serves around 150 students across a range of dance disciplines.
D’Danze Academy offers quality dance education for children aged three and a half years and above, fostering a love for movement and artistic expression from an early age. Beyond teaching, our instructors also choreograph for corporate events, charity shows, and weddings, including performances for the Avon Annual Dinner, Down Syndrome Association Annual Events, and other community celebrations.
Since its establishment, D’Danze Academy has consistently achieved 100% pass rates in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet examinations, with approximately 80% of students earning distinctions each year.
In addition to formal training, students have the opportunity to perform at the academy’s bi-annual concerts, celebrating their progress and sharing their passion with family and friends. These performances also serve a greater purpose — proceeds are often donated to charitable causes, such as the Tsunami Relief Fund, Johor flood victims, Sri Lankan charities, old folks’ homes, and orphanages. The academy has also contributed to international relief efforts, including the Sichuan Earthquake and Nargis Cyclone funds.
Our students and teachers actively participate in events organized by the Dance Society of Malaysia (TDS). Notable performances include a 2004 showcase at the Securities Commission featuring 20 young dancers aged 5 to 9, and the grand production “The Slave Princess”, performed over three consecutive nights at Istana Budaya.
At D’Danze Academy, we provide a caring and inspiring environment, balancing artistic excellence with personal growth. Every student is encouraged to reach their full potential in a setting that values creativity, discipline, and joy in learning.
